i DesignER

PACKAGING! i DesignER was a fun project as we got to conceptualize any product that could be sold to designers in a design emergency situation. After the conceptualization of the product, an innovative packaging design was to be created. The catch to the project was that the product had to be a part of the Apple Macintosh brand and had to be named with the synonymous "i".
The concept for my product was a cloning scanner that could basically clone anything the designer wanted to, whether it be more hands to work with or more mounting boards for a late presentation. The theme i chose to work with for the packaging was the actual short cut keys used in Adobe Illustrator for the clone tool. The theme ran into the box of the packaging which was made rotatable to give the packaging fun, entertaining and interactive abilities. The rotating box was put into a sleeve for protection and display. I aimed for a sleek and clean design with the splash of colors so that the package isn't too boring. NB: each colored strip perforates off so take your pick and get cloning!!
